Op 29 oktober 18.10 verlaat Saturnus het teken om in het voorjaar er nog weer even kort in terug te keren. Saturnus is psychologisch gezien de planeet, die het teken waarin hij staat, serieus aan onderzoek onderwerpt. In het teken maagd betekende dat de volgende zaken ernstig onder de aandacht werden gebracht: de medische zorg, de angst voor existentie verlies/geld, angst voor werkeloosheid, maar ook een zekere angst om ziek te worden. Het laatst genoemde was op te merken door de bijna hysterische bezorgdheid van onze regering over de Mexicaanse griep.
Nu Saturnus het teken maagd verlaat vermoed ik dat de angst om Mexicaanse griep te krijgen verdwijnt naar de achtergrond en dat de grote dosis griepvaccins die ingekocht zijn door minister Klink weleens overbodig kunnen zijn. Saturnus staat in het teken weegschaal in zijn verhoogde teken en houdt zich eigenlijk niet zo bezig met existentiële vragen en gezondheid. Saturnus in weegschaal gaat over (karmische) relaties. De komende twee en een half jaar zullen dat de nieuwe brandpunten zijn. Dit alles zal zich niet alleen in persoonlijke relaties afspelen maar ook in groter politiek verband. Een ander actueel verschijnsel dat Saturnus maagd verlaat is, dat nu eindelijk de vakbonden en de regering de discussie gestaakt hebben over de AOW-leeftijd. Werken tot 67 is nu een feit. Kortom je merkt dat het item werk en existentie nu naar de achtergrond gaan verdwijnen om plaats te maken voor kwaliteit in relaties.
De 30ste graad in maagd is op zichzelf al een bijzondere graad omdat het exact het middelpunt van de dierenriem aangeeft. Een planeet die op deze plaats staat, maakt de overgang van het noordelijke naar het zuidelijke halfrond. Dag en nacht zijn op dat moment even lang. Wat symbolisch gezien wijst op evenwicht. Evenwicht heeft te maken met bewustzijn. Het gaat hier om het bewustzijn dat er net zoveel goeds als kwaads in de wereld is en dat de mens de vrijheid heeft om te kiezen welke weg hij wil bewandelen. Dit zal esoterisch gezien de reden zijn geweest dat de oude astrologie Saturnus in weegschaal zagen als een exaltatie.
On October 29th at 6.10 P.M. Saturn will enter in the sign of Libra. In the spring of 2010, Saturn will return for a short time in Virgo. Saturn is, in psychological terms, the planet that will seriously investigate the sign in which it stands. In Virgo it meant that the following subjects were seriously investigated: health care; the fear of losing ones subsistence. Fear of becoming unemployed, but also the fear of falling ill. This last item was obvious in the hysteria of our government concerning H1N1 or Mexican flu. All these subjects were hot topics in these past months. The credit crisis is another good example of Saturn in Virgo.
When Saturn leaves the sign of Virgo, I think the influenza craze will gradually disappear and the enormous supply of vaccine bought by mister Klink, ( the Dutch health care secretary) could turn out to be superfluous. Saturn in Libra stays in its heightened state and doesn’t occupy itself with existential questions such as health care. Saturn in Libra is all about (karmic) relationships. In the next two and a half years there will be new hot topics. These will be found in personal relationships, but also in politics overall. Personal interest will be more important than bureaucracy. Another example of Saturn leaving the sign Virgo is, that our Unions and government (Dutch) stopped the debate on retirement. Will it be 65 or 67? We will have to work until we are 67! Work and subsistence are moving to the background and quality in relationships is becoming more important.
The 30th degree in Virgo is in itself a very special degree, because it is the exact centre of the Zodiac. A planet in this exact spot makes the change from the northern to the southern hemisphere. Day and night are equally long. This is equilibrium, symbolically speaking. Balance is all about consciousness! Mankind should be aware that there is good and bad in this world and that you have a (free) choice! This is probably the reason why esoterically speaking, in ancient astrology, Saturn in Libra was regarded as an exaltation.
